Weekend Fun !

Weekend Fun at the Minnesota State Fair. Above you will see a pond at the fair ! We love it. So fun and so pretty. There was sooo much more to it as well.

Above it something I really feel in love with and want for the yard. But maybe next year. I have seen both of these before. One is the stand with all the plants in it the shape of a bird.flamingo. LOVE it. The other is the bubbling rock. Also Love it. These are pic's from the state fair as well. These both might have to be additions to my yard next year. Jes was going to buy me the bird this year because he really knew I wanted it. But I was reasonable and said with all the wedding expensives and summer was over. The plants are long gone from the store's. I'll get one next year.

How here is my dear Jesse with a "SMERK" on his face. He was as happy as a clam in this pic. As was I, as I was giggling taking the pic. Here is a small small part of what Jes and I hope to buy next year as well. A camper.

This one was soo nice. Sleeps 6 and was 29 feet long. A home on wheels for us to have fun in where ever we decide to go.

We have been talking about this for a few years. We are dreaming of all the fun things we could do and the fun places we could visit and see. Now the the big truck it can be a reality and one we are thinking about !!!!

I think that Jes and I will be visiting the fair this weekend if we both feel up to it.

We have many different things that we like to look at and things that we love to eat as well.

Something fun to do before the wedding.

The state fair marks the end of the summer here in Mn.

Sad but true. Ahhh how I love the fall colors and flowers and smells of clean crisp fresh air. I do not look forward to what comes after fall. That is the snow and Mn winter's. Yuckie !!!!

But I do love my fall outside and inside decor and decorating for Halloween and all of those fun things.

Well this last Friday, I picked up my wedding dress. All is well. It is even pressed. That is a true miracle in it self. They ensured me that since I did not pay 400.00 to get it altered there they would surely not do me the honor of pressing it. That was simply my problem. David's must have had a change of heart, after the terrible web survey I gave back to them.

I don't have to be treated like a queen. Even though I probably should be. Since I only get to do this once.
But just common respect and someone to treat me decent would have been appreciated.

I received very Unsatisfactory service from David's Bridal. I would not suggest working with those folks.
At least not at the Maple Grove location. I heard other aren't as bad.

But it is all done and over with. I hate it, wrinkle free and it is just waiting for the big day now.

I can't wait. I can't wait to see you all there and share my special day with me.

Look at these pretty bright yellow false sunflowers I got.

So we also decided to stop at Lowes last night as well.

As I got out of the truck these flowers where just calling my name. Jes knows I always have to make a visit to the garden center. ( Yikes.. I think I have become my Mother when it comes to flowers ) Anyhow... they had several different flowers for $1.00. Just a dollar. Can you believe it. For a GALLON pot of flowers. Best thing is they will come up every year ! Just love it. It is almost fall. Another great time to plant !!! So ladies if you need something bright to add to your flower beds. Check out your local Lowes. They also had plants normally $5-15.00 for simply 1.00. I should have bought more more more. I just LOVE all the flowers I have. It is sooo fun to watch them all grow and see the color they bring to our lives !!!

So while at the local Home Depot searching for the perect new blinds for our bedroom. I ran into this guy. I have been eye balling him all summer long. He is a spitter. So water comes out of his mouth. Once I saw him and he was on clearance I knew I had to have him.

So right now it is cold and rainy here in Mn. He is sitting on my front step. But as soon as it clears up my dear Jesse will be getting him all hooked up and he will be a great addition right next to my pond.

Going GREEN....

I am sure most of you have heard the TERM...

GOING GREEN it has been around a while now, but more and more you hear about it. It is every where. The news and things.

I got these adorable bags from work.

Target is taking it's stand and selling these adorable - reuseable bags. Needless to say.. I HAD to have some.

You can use them for many different reasons and many different places.

Trying to take a stand and make the world a better place by not using so much plastic and so much paper. Helping Mother earth and giving her a break.

What are you doing to help Mother Earth ?

Are you taking a stand ? Are you throwing less ?

Do you think about all the garbage there is in this world?

What happens to all those land fills ?

Can you make a difference ? If everyone did a little bit it would make a HUGE impact and in a good way.

Do you part today. Take a stand. Make a postive impact and feel good about it.

I do....... Simply 1 month from today

Simply one Month for TODAY.. I will say my "I DO's ".

Wow time flies. What can I say. I am ready and have things under control. But there are several things on my list to do yet. Just things that have to wait and be at exactly the correct time. So I will do those things as I can.

Yippppy... the count down is on....

The RSVP cards are flowing in and it is sooo fun.

This is a hand painted specialized keep sake box that was a gift from my Mother. I just love it. It will be great to store all my wedding keep sakes. Bonus that is it really cute. Good job Mom.

This last Sunday was my wedding shower for my side of the family. It was alot of fun ! It is so nice to have something for me for a change. I loved every mintue of it. Usually I spend some much time catering to other's wants and needs and party's and such. It was nice to have it for me. It was also nice to see alot of old friends and family as well.

Since I am sure none of Jes's friends read my blog. I think I am okay to post on here what I did. I also had a bit of time in the morning to whip out 22 thank you cards that my friends at work will be getting. As I have another shower tomorrow at work with them. What a lucky woman I am ! FUN FUN FUN.

Sat. Visit

This is Baby - Kyle Henry ! He is sooo cute. Yesterday evening we went to a BBQ at Friends Mary and Tom. We also got to see 7 week old Baby Kyle. He is sooo cute and was such a good baby the whole time we where there. It was nice to see his Mommy and Daddy as well. I am sure we'll see them next month at the wedding as well.

Happy 85th Birthday !!!!!!

Today we are celebrating with my Grandfather. 85 wonderful years that he has been here. With many more happy years to come!

I hope that Grandpa is having a wonderful day ! It is nice and cool and we will be outside and it will be great!

We allllll LOVE you sooo much grandpa. Hats off to you!!!!!!!!!!!

Finds at Archivers

One of my gifts from my shower was a gift card to Archivers. So while I was at the book store it was right next door. I would stop in and see if I could put my gift card to use. Above are the items I got. I have to say.. your dollar doesn't go far there. But I liked what I got.

I have sooo many stickers and embellishments for all my wedding scrapbooks I am over-flowing. I can't really say I need anything else. I have sooooooooo much.

So if you are friends or family. Other then what is on my list at Target. Please no more wedding scrapbooking items. I have a whole bin full already. I also have alot of paper that I am excited about as well. This will be my winter project I am sure.

Fun... nevertheless !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This last week I had my shower for Jes's side of the family. Here is a cute pic my mom took of us. Just wanted to share it all. Infront of me is Steph, in back of me in the white is Aunt Rose and then in the floral is Jes's mom ! This will be a scrapbook photo for sure.

Look at the totally adorable planner I got.

I was at the local book store getting a gift card. I don't ever visit the book store. But while getting the gift card I found this planner. With my nights and weekends getting sooo busy with wedding items I want to be sure to keep them all straight. This will be great and very helpful. Plus I love the colors and its totally my style !

Okay it is the weekend and my dear Jes is working all weekend long. Nice over time but I feel bad he has been working long hours in over 90 degree temps for some time now.

But it gives me time to get soooo many items done and completed around the house. I have to really use my time well as for next week I will not be able to get much done with another full week ahead !

Ahhh I wish I could take a day off. But there is tooo much to do at work for that as well. I guess I will save some much needed vacation time. I was getting low on hours so I am trying to build that up again.

I gotta run. Lots to do. Hope you all are having a super weekend. Do something fun and tell people you know how much you love them. You never know if they'll be here tomorrow !

Wedding Cake this week... Yippy !

I hope you are doing well.

Right now is a busy time for Jes and I with a crunch on wedding items. After today we have a mere 42 days left. Yikes. Just over a month to go. It is so hard to believe how quickly the time has gone. Can you believe that is all that is left already ????????????????

We are now starting to get some more details. Getting things finished up, getting other things started.

Some of the fun things are going to start now, and I am sooo looking forward to that. Exciting things and fun things. Up until this point is has been alot of work and alot of money. While the checks keep flying out of our check book like a bird that was caged. We have some fun into the mix now.

I tell you with all the work and stress and money. Some of the fun and excitement is much needed.

This week I had my shower with Jesse's side of the family ! I got alot of nice things. Not to mention I will not forgot the day because it was also the day the bridge fell in the Mississippi River. I had no idea it happened. Then the phone rang at the house and I was eating at the shower and it was my dear Jesse whom was working late. He was calling to tell me he was not on the bridge. Great news. But that is how I found out what was going on. I am very glad that I will still have him to be my husband next month.

This next week we have dress fittings and wedding class's and cake testing and ordering and picnic's with friends and all sort's of things happening.

So my post's might be far and few between. But please still check in on me and the love and support and words of loving encouragement are sooo welcomed.

You never know how much something simple means to me. A Hello. A email. A card. A call. A how are you. Sometimes the simplest things can make someone's day a little better, or make their whole day for that matter.
