Problems getting home.......

Well we had a super weekend UNTIL it was time to come home Sunday afternoon. We had planned to leave there at about 1 in order to make it home at a reasonable time on Sunday and get home and unpack... and get to bed in time to start another work week...however that did not happen.
My car would not start.... I did everything me and the hubby could think of to NO luck. My hubby had to rent a car dolly and drive 3 hrs to WI to get me and 3 hours back home and we had to get my friend back to her car.. then go to the shop and take the car off and then go home and unpack...not to much fun.. Last night I got to be at nearly 11pm. Which is late for a girl whom awakes at 5:10 am every morning....

Then when we went to take it off the dolly...guess what the car started fine.. it also started fine this morning at the shop.....



So until they can figure it out.. I will be driving our truck to work at over a 100.00 a tank of gas...instead of my much cheaper 45.00 a tank car....

I am much sadened by this....

But I will always remember and cherish the weekend I had.. as well as the fun and I will for sure sign up to go again next year. We have to let them know in 3 weeks who will be going again this time next year...YIPPPPPY...

Fun Weekend @ BridgeCreek Cottage

I am back.... it was not easy to get back..but we made it and I am here. I just wanted to share a bit with you all from my weekend get away. It was a wonderful weekend with nice woman, good food, fun projects, good laughs... and lots of double chocolate moouse cake....YUM YUM

Good Bye all...... this will be my last post until next week some time.
My hubby has a weekend at home alone.. Just him and Jazzy ( our cat).
So I am sure the two of them will be holding down the fort and probably watching alot of T.V. together or something. I think my hubby has a golf game lined up with his brother..but that is all I know.

Nevertheless I will be going to a cottage in WI. where 21 gals are all staying for a woman's scarp booking weekend. This is the first time I have even done something like this.... so I am hoping for ALOT of fun. I am also hoping to get ALOT of scrap booking done.... since I have a wedding album to work on and our honey moon from our Caribbean cruise we took this winter. Jes has his heart set on another cruise for this winter. But we'll see.

Whatever you do... I hope you have a good weekend....because I am planning on it. My hubby was a dear and has my car all packed for me... and he is now getting the GPS all ready with the directions so I am sure to find my way safely.

I will post pics of what we did as well as the cottage when I get back.

Making sure I am understood and to let others know I will be respected and expect respectful behavior.

Busy Weekend.....

Well this weekend we headed to the lake.. for a relaxing weekend...we thought. We did have fun... camp fire...boat rides... warm sunny and rain all in the same day. But we also ended up doing alot of cleaning.. and chores...Mom and I also added some curb appeal and did alot of planting of plants and flowers as well.

But the ALLLLL time favorite part.. was getting in the boat..hitting the waves... having the wind blow thru my hair and the sun on my face... and getting on the lake.... and that came true this weekend.

Well I think both of us must just becoming crazy... it is a no~wonder why I am ALWAYS feeling like I am totally beat!
In the BEFORE pic below you can see what the side walk look like before.
In this pic can you see the after look..sorry I must have moved the camera and it is a bit blurry. That is a user error. Our camera takes excellent pics for what it is. Anyhow... hubby dug out all the sod... and dug in edging.. then I planted all the 6 shrubs, then landscape fabric was laid. Today we went and got rock and shoved it all in...
As you can see there is alot of dirt around. Our yard was sooo un-even... so we laid black dirt and have grass seed down. Now all we have to do it wait for it to grow.
My hubby also installed a drip hose in my front planter.

We added all new bark nuggets to it.

I planted new flowers in the planter. Since I still needed some for the back.
Then I went in the back and dug out all the rock from here and added more bark nuggets so it will match the rest. Planted a few more perennials and added my blue ball !!!

I still have a shrub or two to plant in the back of our home along with some day lilies given to me by a friend at work. Alllll.. I just want a weekend with NOTHING TO DO. But that is not going to happen. I will be very busy the next few weekend.

Even though it is ALOT of hard work... before we know it our home and yard will be looking just simply wonderful. Our hard work will pay off.

It is finally a super nice weekend here in Mn. It is mid- 70's and sunny. This is a change for us here... last week we had rain ! So any warm day we welcome sooo much !

Birthday

As many of you might know. Yesterday was my Birthday.
It was cold, glummy and rainy and a high of about 57 degree's. But although I was wishing for sun shine... it was still a good day all and all.

I took the day off work and spent it with my BFF - Kyra. We hit the city wide garage sales in her city and we had a good time..at least for a few hours before we got all rained out. But I found several items I could not due with out. As well as some baby boy items for my Sister In Law.

Then she picked up lunch for us and her kidos and we chilled at her house for a bit... Ran to the local dollar store to get some stamps... ( that I posted before ) and a few other goodies.

After that I came home and the phone was ringing with friends and family wishing me a Happy Birthday.

Later the Hubby got home and took me to dinner and bought a cards for me, one from him and another from our Cat. It was sooo cute. He had already let me have my B-day gift earlier.

Now this weekend the party continues at my parents. For my Mothers B-day, mine with my family and Fathers day. WOW allllll in the same week. Call it busy ! But it will be another good time I am sure.

Today it was sunny and warm and 74. I was wishing that could have been the weather yesterday. It changes soooo much here in Mn.

I am outta here for now.....

Saturday Fun !!!!

Well Yesterday was a good day. My Hubby had to go do a job. So while he was gone. I did a few small chores around the house..but nothing much. I wanted to kinda take the day off. When we got home we went to my in laws house for an early birthday party and fathers day. Since we will not see them.

We had our favorite home made pizza and fruit pizza instead of cake. It was alll soooo yummy !

We had a good time we open gifts and we had a bon fire, then we wrapped up the night with a hot tub before we headed home.

Here is my gift from my Brother and Sister in law. They did a great job. This is just soooo cute I love it ! It will be a great center piece and I just love these little trikes.

Here is a side ways look at these cute frogggggies. My mother and father in law got me these along with a few other goodies and a gift card to Joann's. Yipppy. I haven't been there for a while. So it will be great to go there and buy fun things for myself....
On the way to the party we stopped by the dollar store... I found a bunch for great items. I know about these 7 gypsies stamps but don't own any...until now. I got 5 different ones for the shocking price of just 1.00 each. I had a blast. Now I am just hoping I get some Birthday money so that I can get some more.
Well that was our day! It was a fun one.....

I am looking forward to the fun things on my calendar for this week and spending some time with Kyra !

My Favorite Month

Hi Everyone.....

This might be a long one since I have alot to share.....

June is my favorite Month... why you might ask... because it is my Birthday month. As well as lots of others Birthdays. It is also a fun and busy month for us. I have soooo many things to look forward tooo this month.

June 2nd was my Brother in laws Birthday. Happy B-day Nate.
June 10th is my other Brother is Laws B-day
June 11th is my Birthday
June 12 is my good friend Stacie's Birthday
June 14th is my Mom's Birthday
June 15th is Fathers Day
June 20-22 is Family weekend with my family.
June 27-29 is my first ever girls get away scrap booking weekend.

Sooo it should be a very fun...but busy month.. also getting in alll of the things going on at my home as far as the yard items I have been sharing. Things to finish up out there. Plus getting things ready for all the birthdays and gifts and such.

This weekend we have early Birthday party and Fathers day at my in-laws house. My mother in law is going to be fixing some of my favorites. Can't wait for them.

But this month I need the fun... something to look forward to other then the normal work..work..work and then come home and work some more.

This week I finally saw my doctor. I got some meds to help with all of my tummy issues and acid problems. I was blessed with a long dirty list of health issues. So I am trying to handle them and mix them into my life and still have a life. It is sometimes hard to deal with all of the everyday worries and items when you often are not feeling well for one reason or another.
I also got some meds for my migraines. Again.. I am hoping this will be the miracle cure I need to rid those nasty things.

I am thankful for the love and support of my Husband and family. I don't need pity, or someone to beat me up. I think I do that enough to myself. The answers are easy.. to say..but not always as easy to live out...
I have to give up many things in my life for my health and other things in my life. Every day common things I have to learn to say NO to more then I have in the past. So while it is not an easy task.... that is where the love and support comes in and really means the most to me.

Today I got such a sweet email from my dear friend Stacie. In times of need she knows just what to say and says she has faith I can accomplish the things I desire to feel better.

These are the things that I need most. Things to inspire me, lift me up, encourage me to do better, offer tips and positive suggestions.

For those of you who read this. I have diabetes among some other health issues. Right now my health and diabetes is not good. So I have to make the correct decisions to make myself better. I have to do it so that later in life I am not paying the price my Father is from his diabetes. Right now it is killing him. That in it self is a very scary thought for me...because at a young age of 56 this disease has had a very bad impact on my Father.

Sooooo I am going to do my best.. to do what I can to feel and take care of myself. In hopes that this will not kill me... like it is my Dad.

1/2 Way there !

Here is our big pile of dirt my Husband will need to move.

But my planter is full of fresh black dirt for my brand new flowers to grow in. I can't wait to see them double in size. It will be sooo fun.
Before the rain heads in for this week I wanted to get my flowers in and I did just that today. I added 12 different items and I bet I need a good 5 or 6 more to go yet.
It is just sooo fun to see it all coming together.

So I need a few more plants and we also need to get our shrubs planted and the dirt moved around and some seed down and we are alll done.

I think its FINALLY summer around here!

I think summer...hopefully is finally hit Mn. I hope it is here to stay. It have been a warm weekend with high 70's and low 80's and we are sooo excitied. First day I have had my shorts on and even felt a bit warm while outside.

Welllllll as normal.. we have MORE projects going on and my Hubby is hard at work yet again this weekend. But when we are done.. it is going to look just WONDERFUL.....

The new kids next door think we are crazy and have to come out and ask... NOW what are you doing....

Well the pic below is some new flowering shrubs we bought. My mom has these and I just love them. So will we put edging in around the curve of the brand new side walk. Fill with black dirt and plant these adorable, inexpensive shrubs we found.

Below you can see what my Hubby has been doing all weekend..digging out a ternch tooo our new planter. So it will have both POWER for our landscape lights, a outlet and power for my fountain. It will also have water he is going to install a soaker hose to water my plants and flowers for me. He is soooo smart... what he doesnt think of. Plus it will save me time from dragging the house out to it all the time. Gotta love him.

This morning my Mom, and Sis and I took a trip for the first time this year to my favorite spot. The Farmers Market for wonderful fresh fruits and also flowers to fill my big new planter. Mom also sent me home with some free-be's from her yard. Thanks Mom.

She also sent me home with this little guy. It needs some good old fashion TLC and some stain. Both of which I have. He will be looking like new and I will add him to my flower bed in the back of the house.

Last but not least...... or the best for last maybe.... Mom and Sis got me, My Birthday present 10 days early. Looks at this ADORABLE thing I got. This will also be in the middle of my planter and I fell in LOVE with it the moment I saw it. I knew it had to be mine.....

Well that is all for me today. I still have lots to do and my engery is starting to run on LOW..so I better run while I can. Hope you ALL had a super weekend and thanks for stopping by.
