HO HO HO...sorry I have been away... UPDATE .. here you go

Hey Everyone….

Wellllllll… Christmas is almost here. Here in Mn we are expected to get up to 2 feet of snow for the Holiday. What a gift huh ? Not for us here. Sorta a pain. But I feel worse for my friends & family that are traveling via car this season to get to family. I wish you all safe travels.

Soooo I am sure you are all wondering where I have been. To be honest. I have sooo much to share and sooo much to blog about. I just haven’t had the time. Both weekend before Xmas we had family over. We max out the house and so we were enjoying family time and also letting others enjoy all of our Holiday cheer and décor both inside and outside our home. It really helps…put you in that Holiday mode and mood. We all love it.

Besides that it has been the usual Christmas buzzzzzzzzzz and things going on. Making treats and food for dinners and gifts and you know how it goes. Last minute items and all the prep that comes with this special time of year.

On top of that there seems to be a few rather large issues that have come up in life. Among that and holiday prep.. I have been having a hard time this month with my migraines and trying to get those nasty things to leave me alone. Maybe with less stress after the Holidays, there will be less headaches. At least that is my true hope.

So what have you all been up to ? Same as us ? getting ready ? How are things with you ? What is new ? What do you have to be thankful for ? What joy are you thankful for this year ???? Even with the stress and buz and long list of items to get done. There is still always things to be thankful.

Whatever life is or isn’t giving you right now. I wish all my friends and family and loved ones a Blessed Christmas. May all of our Angels give us what we need and remember to give thanks.

Merry Christmas all. XOXOXOX Hope Santa is good to you all ! Remember to “BELIEVE”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A giggle for sure !

Quote of the day:

'Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater. If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby. If you give her a house, she'll give you a home.
If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal. If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her.
So, if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton of shit.'

Yummmy treats !

Hey everyone.. Happy Holidays... Tis the season... the busy's have more then begun at our home this year ! This weekend I had added more Xmas decor from my many boxes and I have also been doing some baking and making treats....! We have an early Xmas with a part of the family next weekend and this week is booked so I need to get as much done as I can and boy am I getting tired. But fun at the same time and we have these yummy treats to show for it !! YIPPPY !

Below are some mini Brownies I made in a mini muffin pan, then I added a mint truffle kiss in the middle and ohhh how yummmy. God the idea from a co-worker who made them... I made a 100 of these guys !

Here is the start of my home made "Turtles' ! Boy alot of unwrapping of the candy...but the Hubby was a big help.
Here is the final outcome...yum yum yum yum.... they taste sooo good.
If anyone is interested in how to make them.. here is all you need.
1. A large bag of pecan's.
2. Rolo candy's. I used 3 bags which made me about 150.
3. Snyder's Square pretzels.
That's it.
Put the unwrapped rolos on the pretzels and place in the oven at 350 for about 3-4 mins, on the cookie sheet, take them out and mush the pecan on the top and let them cool until rolo is hard again. Which for me took a long time. Hours !
Tip : I used tin foil under mine for easier clean up ! I also used cookie sheets with side so when you move the pan they don't go flying off all over.
Have fun all. Happy Holidays and I will update more later !

I like to do and make special things for the Holidays to ensure everyone has something special.

Below are some red and while ones with many layers and much time into them.
Here are some other fun ones with a more winter theme to them.
The red ones again.....
After the Holiday I will show you the whole thing. But I dont want to wreck the surprise before hand !!!

Our Update !!

Update from our home to yours !

Well it sure is getting to be “THAT TIME” already isn’t it ? Well at least it is at our home. My mind is already busy and the list’s are getting written and gettinglong, with items to do and things to get done and to buy and to do and everyone is wanting time, as well as I have people that I would like to see and get together with before the Holidays as well.

While my Halloween items are all taken down. Inside my home there is a big pile that needs to be safely packed back away yet.
I am a head of the game with a small part of my handmade Christmas cards done and about half of my Christmas gifts bought.
However it is a big task when you have many to buy for with friends and family alike.

This month we have items happening every week there are several items and things happening and we are booked every weekend besides.
Which leave little time to get alllll the other things done in which I need to yet accomplish on my long to do list.

Since my Hubby is also not working, we have home projects going on as well and he is also already being Santa and getting his own hand made Christmas gifts made. He is also is talented and so good with his hands and wood working.

Although it has been a warm November week here in Mn, I have been getting the bug to get some of my Xmas items out and going.
I think the tree’s will be next weekends project in between the places we are to be at. I am taking my planning skills to the max and really trying to take each day now until xmas to plan and get things done. As to not get sooo over whelmed.

What is on your list ??? What special things do you do at home or for the family or friends around the Holidays ? What are you traditions ?

Let the Holidays Begin. We wish the best to you and your family !

Great treat!

Hey everyone... my friends and family know I have been trying to do WW again. But I have not been as successful as last time. Last time I went to town on things. This time my heart just isn't into it. I am trying but it just isn't happening. I am doing it because I need to and not because I want to. I also am not tooo impressed with the leader either and I think that has a huge affect on things as well.

But here is a great 1 point snack I found in the freezer department and I love them. They taste great. So I wanted to share.

It is not cheap to eat healthy either...but it is definitely alot better for you then eating cheap crappy food.

I hope you all have a good week. Right now I am sick! :(

How we do '"Halloween"

These are just a few of the halloween pic's from our home !!!

It was sooo much more better at night in the dark... we had lights in all the trees and shrubs and a strob light and a fog machine and fun stuff everywhere. We also had 'thriller' playing and scary music going as well. We actually had a few cars pull up and take pic'f of the yard. It was funny. Most of all the kids loved it and that is what we did it for. We still had another globe and a 8 foot spider and a few other things we didnt put out.
Hope you all had a fun and safe Halloween !!!
