My Garden is growing...........

Each year we do a yard project. Usually a home improvement one. Each year I have wanted a veggie garden and we have put it off, because by the time we get done with the other projects, it is to late for a garden. So this year, with some help. We where able to get my veggie garden and I could not be more pleased !!!

My new Veggie Garden is approx. 8x18/19 feet long ! It is plum full. I have pea pods, cucumbers, several different kinds of tomato plants, parsley, chives, green beans, and green pepper plants. Needless to say I have no room left. I would love to also do some pumpkins,,but those really take the room and I am simply out of it!

It is soooo fun to watch everything grow and come to life. We love veggies, so we can not wait to eat all the wonderful, fresh, chemical free, home grown veggies !

This last weekend the family went to the lake to clean and open it up for the year. We worked hard on Sat and then relaxed on Sunday and headed home late Sunday night.

This week is my last week of work. Then I will be having a garage sale next week so I am getting ready for that.

Yippppy ! Dad gets to come home from the hospital tonight ! We are all pleased about that, but not as much as he is. I am sure.

We are busy busy busy here at our home, we have plans every weekend in May ( which is nearly over ) and in June and not sure about July yet !

Sending Love and Good Thoughts

Sending lot of Prayers, love and good thoughts to my Parents right now. As my Dad has a bad infection. He is in the hospital and will be for a few days. He will have surgery tomorrow and another in a few weeks if they can get his infection under control. They are doing more tests and we hope the infection has not gotten into his blood stream. But at this time we do not have the results of that.

If everyone could remember him in your prayers. That would be greatly appreciated. Night all !

Hey everyone... another busy week upon us. So sorry that I have not been posting as much as normal. But here are a few fun cards that I made with a few new stamps sets that I got !

Fresh Veggies

So the last few years I have been wanting a veggie garden. But time has gotten away from us and we have gotten busy with other plans as well as other yard projects. So this year.... this is our project. I am sooo excited.

As you can see my Father in law below,we started with a small square.

Here you can see below what the end result was a large rectangle.

I have to give alot of credit to my Hubby's side of the family for all of their help with this project. Since he was hurt on the job he was unable to do some of this work. So we had some family help and it was soo appreciated.

It was a 2 day project and although it took a lot of sweat and work. It is worth it. But for my first project of the spring and being lazy this winter, boy was it a work out for me moving all that dirt and compost. Now we have to add some railroad ties and some fence and we are complete. Throw in a few veggies and watch for things to grow ! Which is always the fun part. I LOVE veggies and fresh, organic ones are all the better. The taste is sooo good.

We have many things happening at our house hold and this is just one of many.
