seeing Purple !

Ahhhhh lilacs from my back yard ! I just love lilacs they smell sooo good and are sooo pretty as well.

It is still cool here in Mn, temps only in the low 60's and they should be in the mid 70's at least. We have had alot of rain and alot of bad weather and even a tornado hit a part of Minneapolis. So not a good way to start out the summer... that is.. if we ever get the summer temps to match. Which I am not sure about.

We have been busy getting my parents pontoon ready for summer and Dad bought a newer bigger motor and thanks to my Hubby spending 2 weekends to get it all hooked up and screwed onto the boat. It was so heavy we had to get a engine lift.

Dad has had a few health issues and has been in the hospital a few times for a week at a crack in the last few months.

Hubby and I have also been busy in the yard, getting weed killer down and the lawn looks great. Getting a few plants/flowers moved and a few new ones added.

Next is to the garden planted !! I think the good Hubby is going to have to help with that. Just not enought hours in a day.

Thats about it for now ! :)

When here in Mn it has been soo cold and spring is about 3 weeks or so behind. Which is sad !

My In Laws grew these tomato plants from seed, as they do every year !

As well as each year they grow some for my Garden...Which means alot to me and they are always soooo good. There is nothing better then home grown garden veggies and with the price of food these days..thats even better to have things outside in your back yard that you love to eat and make summmmmmer so much better and eating so much more fun !

Spring

So... it is soooo cold and glummy here and it is May 2and its a mere 42 degrees here ! So I am trying to bring some spring... to our home !

I fell in LOVE with this owl and had to get him! He welcomes people on the front door step. So does this below. Later it will be full with REAL flowers when it warms up.
