Reason To Celebrate !!!

We have reason to Celebrate .........

(((HUGS)))) to out to my Sister and Brother In Law.

They are going to be having a baby in Oct. They are first time parents and this will be sooo exciting for them.

Jes and I will be an Aunt and Uncle for the first time !!!

it will be fun to have a baby in the family !!! We will have to keep an eye out for fun items for them over the summer.

I will be sure to keep you all updated !! We do not know if it will be a boy or girl.. it is way to early for that. Thus why my post is in blue and pink.. hehehehe!!!

So Jes and I just wanted to wish them all the best in their new, fun and exciting experience this will be for them both. Take care Mommy and Daddy !!!

Don't Forget to Turn those CLOCKs

Don't forget tonight to turn your clocks ahead..spring forward. So we will get an extra hour of ligght each night. Which will be nice for sure. It will not be soo nice to lose an hour of sleep however... even more so since I did not get a good night of sleep last night. I am still fighting my migraine just a bit as well. It has been a rough week with that !!!

It is going to warm up next week..Yipppppy !!!

Is SpRiNg ever coming ?????

Is Sprng ever coming ????
March 20th is offically the first day of spring. Yet when I look out my window sil... I sure see an awful lot of snow yet and them temps don't seem to be warming up much either !!

Don't forget this weekend is also DAY LIGHTS SAVING time... we turn out clocks a head... so that will be nice... it will stay a bit more light out at nice. Although I have to admit I have been noticing already it has been not so dark as early as the winter. That indeed is nice.

Well.... what are you 5 favorite things about spring ???

Here are mine in no special order ;

1. Watching, waiting and seeing all my flowers bub and bloom and see how big they will get.
2. Buying and panting new items for my yard.
3. The fresh, warm clean air and the warm sun on my face.
4. The children running and playing outside with the excitement of the coming summer.
5. Attending the farmers market again to get fresh, non toxic fruits and veggie that taste sooo good !

ProGreSs !! Yippy.......

Our Basement Bedroom....

Here is what our bedroom looked like after tap,mud, and the ceiling was done and painted. I then started to paint the rest....

The room is a light brown color and a teal color... I love it. I saw it in a painting book. I liked it and wanted to do the same. The white circles you see are white 4in can lights.
I wanted to take a pic of the paint job..only to find out my hubby did some touch ups and put some more mud on the wall. Where the paint comes to a stop we will have white chair rail that will cover that.

It is going to start to be a room. We still have trim and doors to get and such....and a wood ledge on the wall with the window as well. But it is finally becoming more then just studs !! yippppppy... I can't wait to do more.

We have been working hard and it is nice to see it starting to at least look like something... this was our weekend...how was yours ?

Hey everyone.. hope your week is going well.

Snow again for us Minnesota ..home bond people !
While it sure does look pretty and it does hide or cover up some of that dirty snow. I have to admit I have about had enough of it !!! I hope you all get to and from where you are going safe and sound. Remember to leave a bit earlier and take your time and drive safe. Me... I am about to go get a big mug of HOT chocolate and curl up with the hubby and watch a short bit of T.V. with him. Can't wait for the weekend to get here. I hope to get some painting in the bedroom downstairs. SUPER exciting about that! As well as check out some parade of homes since the weather is suppose to be a bit warmer and nice on Sat !

Well I thought it is almost mid-week and we might need a laugh..so here is something really cute I got sent to me.

Subject: JOBS
1. My first job was working in an Orange Juice factory, but I got canned. I couldn't concentrate.

2. Then I worked inthe woods as a Lumberjack, but I just couldn't hack it, so they gave me the axe.

3. After that, I tried to be a Tailor, but I just wasn't suited for it -- mainly because it was a sew-sew job.

4. Next, I tried working ina Muffler Factory, but that was too exhausting.

5. Then, I tried to be aChef - figured it would add a little spice to my life, but I just didn't have the thyme.

6. Next, I attempted to be a Deli Worker, but any way I sliced it I couldn't cut the mustard.

7. My best job was a Musician,but eventually I found I wasn't noteworthy.

8. I studied a long time tobecome a Doctor, but I didn't have any patience

9. Next, was a job ina Shoe Factory. I tried but I just didn't fit in.

10. I became aProfessional Fisherman, but discovered that I couldn't live on my net income.

11. I managed to get a good job working for a Pool Maintenance Company, but the work was just too draining.

12. So then I got a jobin a Workout Center, but they said I wasn't fit for the job.

13. Aftermany years of trying to find steady work, I finally got a job as a Historian- until I realized there was no future in it.

14. My last job wasworking in Starbucks, but I had to quit because it was always the same old grind.

15. SO, I TRIED RETIREMENT AND FOUND THAT I'M PERFECT FOR THE JOB

Wouldn't it be nice if we could all retire regardless of our age and really enjoy life !

Well Hello.. Happy Monday to all.

With the temps warming up just a bit...I had to add the sunny pic...boy it sure is nice to hit the outdoors and be not a 100% freezing.

Okay... okay.... so I had such good intentions and I hopes to get some stamping and scrap booking done this weekend... well... I am sad to report it did not happen. So I have NO PICS to post on anything fun and creative that I got done this weekend.

Sat..morning I started on my normal cleaning as normal. Then by about 10am I decided this is it. I am going into the office and doing something fun..... Well, while I was in the office...not much fun happened in there.. I had to clean up my mess from my Valentines cards and projects and while..after that I was digging in my closet for something I needed. Soooooooooo that lead to a major cleaning and re-organization of my stamping, scrap booking closet.... That took sooooooooome time. So by the time I got done with that I was tired and it was nearly time to begin dinner. But GOSH I was soooo thrilled I had found my LONG LOST...circut buttons and tools. As well as my LONG lost markers. Allll in all. It was great to find these items I had been looking for FOR months !!!! Also to get everything nice and neat and so I can find things. So it was still a good feeling. Just NOT as fun as stamping.

Sunday.... I did a few things and was not feeling well at all.... so I did a few things around the house.... and watching the movie " NO RESERVATIONS" It really was a cute movie and I had wanted to see if for sometime. Just never got around to it. Very touching movie. A few tears where shed.

So that was it for me.........................

HUBBY , made MAJOR progress on the downstairs bedroom and I am going to get to paint sometime this week or coming weekend which I am totally excited about !!! Yipppppy. I will post a before and after...
One step closer to done. I am sooooooo thankful I have a man that knows how to do all of these things and can finish our basement at NO labor cost's to us. He has done a great job !

OH............P.S. I did get ALL of my Easter DECOR up as well... So that was fun for me also.

Weekend Plan's

Sooo ... what do you have planned for this weekend ?

The temp here in Mn is actually suppose to be a heat wave of about 32 !! Yippy !
Sun and 32, I think we'll take it.

So do you have anything fun planned ? Meeting anyone ? Doing any projects ? Any crafts?
Any family outings?

Most of the time our weekend involves running errands, doing things around the house and chores or items that did not get finished during the work week. At least MY work week, or family events.
I have decided since it is winter and I HOPE it won't be here tooooooooooo much longer.....
I am going to take some time this weekend and do some things I enjoy..instead of things that...
"need to get done". I always put my chores before anything else. What can I say... most of the time I agree with this. I am a whole LOT happier when I can play after my house is clean. ( Less on my mind that way and less quilt )But like I said.. with winter hopefully only lasting another 6 weeks or so... that is going to start cutting down my weekends for possible indoor fun ! So this weekend.. I am going to try and make some cards, scrap book, organized our office some and get some things done that are more 'fun' for me. I also have to start things on Birthdays and making special gifts for other things coming like Mother's Days and Easter as well. Who knows... If I do something exciting I might even post what I did. We'll see. I might decide to be lazy and sit and watch a movie as well.

Spring and Summer will be here soon and that involves many outdoor activities, such as a plan for my annuals, what to buy and what colors, yard projects we have planned, taking down the xmas decor and packing it up which is usually a weekend in it self. Then there is the pond, of course moving my fishies and getting out all my summer yard decor and patio items.... ahhhh we also want to drip out our side walk and redo that. Many things to do ! While they are all alot of work. It will be great to get outside again. To wait and wonder what spring brings, to watch all my plants and flower come back.

So whatever you are doing..who your doing.. hehheeh or whom you spend it with! Have a super weekend all.

It is coming along FINALLLLLY !

Well as most of you know my Hubby hasn't been working. Well not working that he gets paid for that is. I have posted pic's below of our basement. Someone who is not a home owner or have never seen an unfinshed room might say.. what is that ? Or its a wall big deal. Well not at this house.

I am sooo extremely excited ! Our home is coming along. I have wanted the basement done for a long time. It is starting to become a reality for me. My Hubby has been working his little tail off. He finished the dry wall, put on corner bead, then taped all the joints ( which is alot) and now has even got some MUD on. Once he has the mud on and sanded and mud and sand again over and over until it is perfectly smooth... I will get to prime and paint. I can NOT wait. I already have my colors picked out and ready to go.

For those friends that have been giving Jes a hard time forever and asking 'how is the basement' coming along. I am proud to report PROGRESS is being made.

I have to give Jes alot of credit. Since he has not been working he has really jumped in and helped with household items and cooking dinner and learning to cook. I really appreciate this help. It feels great to be a team. Ahhh married life is good!

Now we just hope he gets some 'paid' work soon. In the mean time.. he is doing a GREAT job at home.

In the TOP pic I forgot these xoxo metal letters. I have others like this in my house and I just LOVE them... thus why I bought another set !

So yesterday I stopped at Target... to get a print out of how much I had paid for my medications in hopes to see if I could claim some of it on our taxes this year. Which I found out I can't. I was not nearly enough. You have to spend over 7.5% of your income and then whatever amount over that you can claim and get a percent of that back.

But........ I have to share these totally ADORABLE items I got on the Valentine clearance !
Of course 75% percent off, as well as my discount. What a steal. I even got a cute cat nip toy for our Cat for a mere .50 cents.

These items are such sooo fun and of course I love pink and red. They are after all my fave colors.
Can't wait to put them out next year.

NOWWWWWWWWWWWWW it is time for my Easter decor............

I am going to try and fit it in my busy week somehow. As well as planning several other things I have coming up.
