A Fall Sunday in Mn.

Well Sunday was a busy one.. I thought I would make a quick run to the Mpls Farmers Market and be home by 10:00 am or so. But I didn't end up getting home until way after 2 pm. We went to the Market and My Aunt came along who was in town for the weekend. She had a wonderful time and it was good to see her. Then we went back to my Grandma's where she was staying for the weekend and visited a bit. Then I dropped off my Mom and Sis at their house and had to do a few things there... After that had to make a stop at the local SuperTarget to get allergy meds for my Hubby and ran into my friend, we chatted for a bit and by the time I got home.. got allll of my goodies unpacked and unloaded and put away it was later in the afternoon...

I got a ton of fresh, chemical free veggies and fruits... But here is what I wanted to share with you.. just look at the pretty colors..

I got these wonderful Gladdy's. I usually get 2 bunches when I go...

Look at this HUGE Mum I got... I was thinking I did not need one since my Mom had gotten me 2 smaller ones for my wedding ann....but for a mere 7.00 for this HUGE guy.. I couldn't leave it there...
Then I got these pretty purple daisy's for a 1.00...can you believe it 1.00.
All and all it was a good day ! It was nice to see family and friends !
I did not get anywhere near the things done I had hoped to this weekend..but with the glummy weather.. it still turned out to be a good weekend.

I have hopes ...high hopes !

To get out my Halloween items and get them put up as well as get allll or alot of my items done on my to-do list. Also visit the Farmers Market in downtown Mpls. It might be our last trip Sunday morning. I hope to get some fresh veggies and fruit and maybe even some fresh cut flowers.

It is suppose to be a good weekend.. a little rain in the morning... but otherwise nice. Love it ! The crisp fresh fall air is great for sleeping with the windows open and the tree's are starting to turn and it is sooo pretty !

Fun with Mom !!!

Well Halloween will be coming soon enough..... my hope is to get all my decor out this weekend.... and get my inside decorated.. the outside will also be an alllll weekend project..byt I need my Hubby's help with that and he has plans this weekend.

Well this has been a LONG week and I am sooo glad it is friday tomorrow.
Last night I went to my parents and with a bit of help from my Mom.. I painted this pumpkin for my kitchen table...fun or what !!!
Here is the back side... this part my mom did.. she added some spiders and a web to finish off the back side !!
We had a good time !

Here is one of the Mums my Mom gave us for oue anniversary... and a few pumpkins I got from my Mother in law! Does that say Fall or what ? These are on my Front step... now all I need is my hay bail....
Here is my LARGE purple fountain grass.. when I got this is was only a few inches tall and a few inches across..now look how pretty it is. This is by our pond....
In a few weeks we will have to decorate the yard with all of our Halloween items. Is there anything you do for fun for fall ? Do you put anything up for Halloween ? Is there any traditions that you do ???

Weekend Fun !

Hi Everyone...

I am back this week. Last week was a LONG week. I have an infected tooth removed and dealt with the pain and swelling and headaches along with a serve reaction to some pain meds I was given. Then as I was trying to find my way back to feeling better my Hubby wanted to head to the lake to get the boat out one last time this year!

Sat was where pretty chilly up there and then Sunday it was sunny and hot !

All and all we had a good weekend despite a chilly Sat. It was just my Hubby and I, my parents, my Mother in Law and her Mom ( aka Grandma)

Jes got this great shot of the sunset.. he is soooo great with a camera...

Then we went on a walk and found this pumpkin patch and I LOVE pumpkins

We ate, and talked and boated and walked and played card games... went to town for the local gift shops and it was fun. Did a few small projects around the cabin.

My mom even brought small pumpkins to paint for us but we got tooo busy !

Hello everyone..
So sorry I have been MIA. I have been sick with a bad tooth and infection and a bad reaction to some pain meds. I hope to be back next week.

* One Year *

Well... and so it is today..... our 1 Year Wedding Anniversary !
Wow.. does time ever fly by fastly. In Oct it will be 6 years together as well. That time has flown by quickly as well.
A year ago today I married my best friend! Jes is such a good guy and he is adored by many more then just me. He has many skills and many talents. He is easy going on and gets along well with others. He is also supportive in many different ways for many different things. That alone mean ALOT to me. It is nice to know your Husband is in your corner and there for you when you need him.
Well Monday is usually a long day for us.... I don't think there are tooo many of us who JUMP out of bed on Monday morning and want to go to work.
So since it rained the WHOLE weekend. We took the time to spend together.
Sunday was "OUR" day to celebrate our Anniversary. We slept in and then got up and had breakfast and then got ready and took our time. We headed to Olive Garden for a yummy lunch and then hit a movie after that. By the time we got home it was after 5 and we just spent the night watching a few shows on t.v. and chatting a bit ! It was a WHOLE day of just 'US'. It was great.
I am sure we will have many more GREAT years together!
Now everyone wants to know when we will start having kids.... heehehe time will tell !

To my dear Husband on this day. I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH, NOT JUST TODAY BUT THE REST OF OUR LIVES!

Time Shared

Last night was a good Night!

My BFF and I live close to one another... but don't get to see alot of each other. As much as we would like to...same old.. she has kids and a family and I get busy with my family and all of the issues and things that pop up. As well as something, is always happening around our own home.
We do email and such..but there is something special about just getting together and talking.

We both have had alot going on and happening all at once and it was nice just to talk about things and get feedback from one another.
It is something I hope we will continue to do, a bit just more often !
Plus it is always nice... to have the love and support and understanding from a 'real' friend.
Someone you can share secrets and hopes and dreams and fears..no matter what they are !
So..today it is hats off to my Forever Friend, as she is always in my thoughts and prayers !

She is also a treasure and I hope soon she will shine even brighter then ever. She has the strength of steal and the heart of gold !

Eye Update

Eye Update .....

Hello everyone... this is going to be quick and fast....!

I am sorry I have a busy week and alot going on. Getting ready for the garage sale this weekend as well as several other things going on in my life right now.
Well yesterday I left work a bit early to get to my eye appointment.
It was good and bad news again. Good news.. my vision is fine ( which I knew ) I don't have problems seeing. Although I think secretly my hubby was wishing I needed glass's, like he did about this time last year. So that is excellent news.
The kinda bad or not soo good part of the news is that ..... just like they expected.. I do have the start of Diabetic Retinopathy. ( Which means the back blood vessels in your eyes get weak and you can get blood gathering and such and you will have to get laser surgery to correct. If you do not have the surgery then if the pocket leaks or blows up you could go blind ) So.. they are going to watch my eyes very closely and I need to go and see them every six months... for how long ??? I don't know... maybe forever....! But it is just in the start of things.
Also GOOD news, at least we know now and I am under the care of someone...rather then waiting and then all the sudden they tell me I need Laser surgery all at once.
I will need to try and pay close attention to my eyes. Because My Father had this as well..but much later in life. So I am about 20 earlier in life then he was with this same problem!
All will be fine... I just need to take care of my Blood sugars and my Blood pressure !
That's about it. I have to run...

Just a few days left...before the weekend is here....... YIPPY !!!

Saturday Fun !!!

Soooo it was a busy day..... and it was fun.

Lori , Michelle and I all went to spent the day together having fun and stamping and doing crafts....

My blog post today is all about pictures and I have alot of them ! So enjoy ...

Here is a few cards that I did... while it was not a productive day it was a fun one and I needed that....

This card I used my punch from Stampin' Up !
Then Lori found a Stampin' Up Sale by a bunch of demonstrators and they where getting rid of their stamps...alot of them where brand new.. and less then 10.00 each. What a steal. Not tax, no shipping.. just the price.. for brand new stamps... We where in heaven... here is a great set I can use with my tag punch. It will be perfect...

Here is a great word set !Okay sooo Lori just loves my Cuttlebug and here is a card she made with it. Totallly cute !

New Look

Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyy everyone.... what do you think ???

I have to give mad props to my BFF ... she is the one that gave my blog a new face lift. I love it... it is sooo fun and now has Fall colors and I love the flower as well.

Well we have a busy weekend.....

Tomorrow I am meeting some friends up at Achievers for a stamping day. Though I have been invited several times... this is the first time I am able to make it and didn't have something going on.

So I hope to have fun, laughs and get some cards made with a few new stampin' up products that I just got.

Hubby is going to work at his parents tomorrow and rip off their deck so he can put on a new one.

It is also Both my sister and aunts Birthday tomorrow !

Sunday I hope to get a few chores done and also get ready for my other aunts garage sale that I am going to be in next weekend ! I have many items to price and tables to get out and things like that... I will also be going thru some of my stamping items to see if there is anything I want to get rid of.

Soooooooooo once again..many many thanks to my friend for helping me with my new blog look! Thanks thanks thanks dear. I love it.

This week their new CD came out and I got it, as well as a N.K.O.T.B greatest hits album with 4 new Bonus tracks of Brand new songs never heard. So tonight as I do a few things... I will enjoy JAMMMMMIN' out to my old time FAVE boys !!!

Doing Good...

The numbers are growing and there are sooo many in need !

Do you know the local food shelf demand has grown 40% from this time last year. People are in need, of so many things.

Each year I take part in donating at least one bag plum full of goods to the local food shelf. I took some things from my shelves and bought a few other things and I am going to give them so I am helping fill the shelves in the Food Shelf. Yes I am only one person and 1 bag..but when everyone gives a bag.. it adds up to be alot of food for people who really need it.

We are doing this at work.. so if friends or family want to donate.. I can take it in to work with me and add it to the big box we have.

Here is a pic of the bag plum full to the top. This is one way each year I choose to 'give back' who knows one day when we or someone we know might need a food shelf.
If you don't have a place.. you can go online and find a local food shelf and drop off food there. They would LOVE to take anything you are willing to give.

It does not have to be all food either. It can be kleenex, shampo's, soaps, fabric soap, dish soap, paper products, diapers for babies, baby wipes, baby food, water, anything.... Think of what a few dollar can do for someone else.

Think about giving today !

These are two pic's of the game... it is a dice game.... I recently got it...
It is a simple and fun dice game. They can be found at local Toy stores I am told. However Target and Walmart do not sell it.

My co - worker ordered us all one for only 5.00 each. Games usually are not cheap and so for 5.00 it is a great game for a great price!

I just wanted to share it with everyone.... incase you are eve3r interested in getting one.. it is fun for most ages...
