Doing Good...

The numbers are growing and there are sooo many in need !

Do you know the local food shelf demand has grown 40% from this time last year. People are in need, of so many things.

Each year I take part in donating at least one bag plum full of goods to the local food shelf. I took some things from my shelves and bought a few other things and I am going to give them so I am helping fill the shelves in the Food Shelf. Yes I am only one person and 1 bag..but when everyone gives a bag.. it adds up to be alot of food for people who really need it.

We are doing this at work.. so if friends or family want to donate.. I can take it in to work with me and add it to the big box we have.

Here is a pic of the bag plum full to the top. This is one way each year I choose to 'give back' who knows one day when we or someone we know might need a food shelf.
If you don't have a place.. you can go online and find a local food shelf and drop off food there. They would LOVE to take anything you are willing to give.

It does not have to be all food either. It can be kleenex, shampo's, soaps, fabric soap, dish soap, paper products, diapers for babies, baby wipes, baby food, water, anything.... Think of what a few dollar can do for someone else.
