Happy New Year !
Well I guess, it has been a while since my last post.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season. Our was good. But man, it sure takes alot out of you. I think it was better as a kid, when you didn't have to do any of the work, yet you got to run around like a chicken with your head cut off and you got to ripe open all those presents Santa brought for you.
While there is JOY as an adult in the holidays, and I love to watch others open gifts rather then ripe my open. It sure does consume an awful lot of time and energy.
Well I am hoping for good things this next year. 2007 was okay, but I hope there is more to come.
2007 went fast for us and with wedding plan's consuming most of the year. It is now time, even for a bit. just to sit back and take a deep breath. Before summer comes and all the things that go along with that.
We will be spending the night with friends tonight. Which will be nice, we don't get to see them as much as we'd like. There is always so much going on and somewhere to be. But after the rough weekend of yet more migraines. I was secretly wishing for a night at home with my jammies and a good movie. That however will wait for tomorrow !
Please stay safe all & take care. I wish you all a Happy New Year.
May you all be blessed with many good things this year.

Christmas Day
Sunday, December 23, 2007
Hello All .... well it is almost time... for what ???? you know, Christmas.
At first I started out not being in the spirit to much this year and I have done a 180.
I have been listening to Christmas music for weeks and I can't wait for everyone to open the fun gifts I got them. I am also looking forward to spend a bit of time with my Grandparents. You never know when it is our last Christmas with them.
This Sunday, a few of the family and I will be spending Sunday morning at Grandma's house.
She spends alot of her days at the nursing home with Grandpa and so we are meeting to get things set up for her and everything clean and in order. She has way to many other things to do at her age then have to worry about ALL the work Christmas dinner brings. We are all bringing something and my parents have been so generous to make the lasagna a head of time so all we have to do is bring it over and thru it in the oven. We are also going to get some last minute decor up too for her so it brings some holiday cheer to the house. I have my Christmas cd already for us to listen to as we get ready.
I said a prayer for my Sister and Brother in law who will be traveling this holidays to Appleton. I am very worried about their safe travels. As they have a ways to go with the snow and the snow is suppose to be the worst over there. I wish you both a very Merry Christmas. We love you !
My hubby on the other hand is sooo thrilled about our up coming cruise I think he can hardly contain himself. It is fun to see him this way. Each day he has been counting down. He has researched all of our stops and what there is to do there and such. I am also thrilled to go. It should be fun. It is something new we will experience together, since neither of us have been on a ship, and nothing this big before. But I can't wait for Jes to experience the ocean and all the wonders it brings and how beautiful it is and the wonderful colors. I have seen the ocean many, many times. But this will be the first for Jes and one to remember I am sure.
Well I hope you are all doing well, getting that last minute food ready, gifts wrapped and things all ready to go. I wish you all safe travel's, and merry smiles and bright eyes that winkle like Christmas lights. I send you all love and happiness this year and the next coming year as well. Thank you all for your love and friendship. It mean alot to us both. We look forward to many things next year. I hope its a good one for you as well as us tooo.
That's all for now. Have a super weekend all.

Something New for the Holidays !
Something new... a digital ornament. I got this soo cool gift from my good Friend Stacie at work. She was soo thoughtful. My dear Hubby then put all the pictures of our wedding on it. It so fun. I have to admit I am not much of a techie. I didn't even hear about these things until just before I got it. But I wanted to post it incase anyone out there wanted to get one and try it out. It is from Target. I am sure they have them other places as well. Nice to reflect on the previous year and remembering the good times.
One to Remember !
Nothing special happened and nearly NOTHING got done around my house. A few small things and a trip to Target. But it was a great weekend, we have NO where to BE, NOTHING that had to get done. My Christmas items are all done and wrapped. They have been. I spend soooo much time doing chores and projects and running, running, running. It can really wear a person down.
So this weekend Hubby and I ordered Pizza, rented some movies and took naps and laid around a bit. It was heavenly. While in the back of my mind my chores where calling my name... I ignored it. Which is something a rarely, if ever do. It was soooo nice. We have soooo much going on in the next month or so and so while I had the chance I TOOK it. I finally did something for me. It was sooo great !
I hope you had a good weekend. I hope you stayed warm and safe, and enjoyed your weekend !
Christmas is just around the corner and I can't wait. It should be sooo fun !
Have a good week all.
My weekend of rest will be much needed, because this week I am working over time at work.

Count down is ON !
We are all looking so forward to many things. There is Christmas just around the corner, then New Years, then for us, our honeymoon as we depart in the big ship.
Life is all about looking FORWARD and moving on, right ???
Are you waiting or counting down to anything exciting in your life ? Please share what it might be....
Are you ready for the Holidays ? Is your checklist getting smaller or larger with Christmas just a matter of days away. For me it is getting smaller and I am very excited about that.
I have one gift card left to get and I am done. Everything else is wrapped and ready to go. Cards are done at sent out, gifts care wrapped. Gift exchange's at work are all done. It has been alot of fun. Now all that is left is just the food and prep. We are also all taking a day to my Grandmothers to get her house all set up and things in order for her. Just one less thing for Grandma to worry about and deal with. We like to help out as much as we can. Our family is good that way.
It will be nice to see some family members on my side that I really missed on Thanksgiving.
Plus Grandpa will be home and that in it self is a gift to us all at this time of year. We love to see him and spend time with him.
New Years ? What will you be doing ? Do you have a tradition ? Something you have to do ? Something you always do ? Someone you always see ? Someone you always spend it with ?
We don't have any plans yet, and I truly hope that's exactly the way it stays. Last year Jes and I spent it at home. In our home safe, spending time together, eating and watching some good movies. I usually make or buy something nice for dinner and some munchies. I don't like to be on the road with the drunks. Jes and I don't get tooo worked up over New Years like some people do.
We don't demand a night on the town or a fancy place to go or eat. While that is fine for some. For us it just is not important. We rather keep it low key and completely relaxing and comfy. We did all the parties and clubbing and drinking and such when we where young. We don't feel the "need" to do that anymore. Whatever you do and where ever you go please be care and be smart. Enjoy yourself and don't forget what is important.
As for my honeymoon........I can not wait for that. We have never been on a cruise and I can't wait. A new experience is always sooooooooooo exciting. I am sure I will have many fun adventures and experiences and pictures to share. I love the ocean and can't wait to get out on it.

Winter Hello
Besides going to Jesse's parents for any early Christmas, we where in the house most of the entire weekend. It was actually kinda nice for a change.
We had a nice early Christmas, because Dylan and Steph are going to visit Steph's family this year.
They take turns for the holidays. So they will be missed this year. But we had a good time this weekend. Good food, family and gifts. I got a few gift cards from Jes's parents which was appreciated. For Kohl's and Joann's. Just gotta love that ! Jes got some nice things as well.
I was in the mood, but it really put a jump on the Christmas spirit for us this year.
Before we know it.... Christmas will be here.... in just a matter of day.
I got alot done over the weekend. I have to get a few items yet for Xmas. But otherwise I am pretty much done.
After many hours, I finally got all my handmade Christmas cards out and send in the mail yesterday.
What a GREAT feeling to get that done. Also got the rest of my gift's wrapped. Now I have a small project for just a few friends at work then I should really be looking great !! I have hopes to get it done tonight ! Wish me luck please......!
It is fun we have been getting cards and letters, and pictures if the mail. As well as cards and things at work. It is alot of fun. Can't but just love this time of year !
Whether it is a card or something else. It sure is fun.
Hope that you are all doing well. I hope your Holiday preparations are coming along well.
I hope you have many good things planned. I hope you get to see people that are special to you and enjoy their company. Myself I am looking forward to seeing my Grandparents. Funny... the older you get the more you appreciate the small things in life.
May God Bless all of my friends and family. We send you love, joy and peace. Not only for the holidays but the whole year thru.
May you realize the things and people you have right in front of you and treasure them and your relationships. For these are priceless !!!!!!!!
Also send some love to my Hubby who has been ill for 5 days now with a terrible cold, fever and not feeling himself.
Signin' out for tonight... off to do my project !!!!!!!!!
Till next time !

The Tropic's in the Winter !
Well the count down is on .......
Jan 19th Jes and I will be on this boat !
We simply can't wait. This will be our honeymoon since we never went on one after the wedding. We will be visiting the Exotic Carbbiean. We can not wait to see all of the sites, entertainment and activites that will be in store for us. We haven't been on a vacation in a long, long time. So this will be sooo enjoyed and sooo needed right now.
Some of you might know.. I love fish and the ocean and well all the pretty things Mother Nature has given us in it. There will be endless food, fun and sun. Just what the doctor ordered durning this cold winter season. It sure is getting cold fast this year. All the more reason we are looking forward to getting away. I can't wait to scrap these pages. It will be alot of fun.
Hope you all stay warm and cozy this chilly weekend !
Remember to drive safely if you venture out and watch out for the black ice as well.
It's early Christmas for us this weekend. Should be fun.
I am off to prepare good food and gifts for tomorrow!!

We are "Cursed" this week !
So sorry dear friends.
Well part of the reason is, we have a 'Curse' on us or our home or something. Lately it has been one bad thing or broken thing after the next. I asked my Mom to add me or her prayer list. I am know I am way more fortunate then alot of other people this year and this time of year. There are soo many with less then us. But with it going on month number three and no work insight for my Husband it is not a good feeling. First our garbage disposal broke, then it was Jes's good bowling ball, then it was my car, then it was the garage door, since the door was broke, it inturn broke the door opener. We are waiting for just what else will be waiting in the corner to break or fall apart to cost us money. Then this morning my power locks also went out. Among the other issues. So as I was driving to work in the thick snow. Also praying I would make it to work safety, I asked for assistance from someone up stairs. I said a prayer and ask God to grant just one small miracle for me today. Guess what, he did it. My door locks worked. Ahhh one less thing to worry about and one less thing to have to pay for.
On a better note. This weekend we have an early Christmas with my Hubby's side of the family.
It should be nice. That is Sat, so I just hope with the 2nd big snow storm coming we will make it there and home safely. At least we have a big truck with 4 wheel drive. So I will be busy making food and getting gifts wrapped for that. In hopes to make it special.
Last weekend during the snow storm I got to stay home and warm in my house. I don't mind weekends like that. That is for sure. My bro and sister in law however where over all day. So they had to go home in it.
Christmas cards, I really need to get going. We have already been receiving cards in the mail. I still have over half of mine to get done yet. So I better get a move on and get them finished up. I cut down on my list this year, just a bit. While I would love to send out a million. It's really is quiet costly. In supplies and stamps. Plus it seems as though I think of so many others and send so many cards each year and some people just don't even send them out any more. Nor bother to send a hello or a call or an email. But I did make my cards this year. The last two years I did not and I had lots of request's for home made cards. So I am BACK and this year I have hand made ones again.
That's all for me for now. Take care all, stay warm, stay safe, drive safe ! Wishing you all bright and shinny holiday spirits !
Although we have had all of these mishapes happening. I am still glad its christmas and all the fun things it brings. While we won't have exchaning alot of gifts this year. I am looking forward to the wonderful ones I do get. Always something good to cheer up the winter.

Friends !
I love this pic of two little girls holding hands.
We all need a hand now and then, and even a ear, a hug, or sometimes even a shoulder. After all, thats what friends are for right ?
What would we do with out our friends. They are so nice to have, some we don't see enough, some live close and some live far away, some we visit, others we might call or email or send cards. Some show friendship and some assume it.
Well I am thankful for all my friends. I make sure that my friends now I value them as a person and a friend.
It is not something that takes long, or much work at all. But I feel it is essential in any friendship.
I am also a strong believer in actions speak louder then words. Anyone can have good intentions but unless they are acted uopn, then really there nothing at all, and infact no one else even knows about them other then you. In time, some friends might come and some might go. Some might really care for you and other might be more of a casual friend. Some you share secrets with and others you might keep to yourself. Over time friends might change or maybe change with you. But your still glad to call them your friends. Some friends you might have know forever and some friends a short time. Some friend might be like family to you. While I try to think of this not only in my friend as well as my family the whole year thru. I tend to take a bit more time, in my crazy busy life, to really let all of my friends and family know I care and think of them. For none of us know what tomorrow holds, what a call or email or visit might have meant to someone that day you made it. So during this wonderful Christmas time. Be an Angel to someone, choose to make a difference, to share, express, show and most of all ACT in love this holidays. We are all connected in some way and in some how. How will you choose to shine this Christmas ? Who's Star can you be ? Take some time to think. Then ACT. For if you never act, you never know and you might forget and later regreat the time and the things that you missed.
Good night all, stay warm and stay safe and share yourself, your time and your love with everyone around you this year.
For maybe..... that all someone really might need for Christmas. Is a true friend who cares and wants to be involved.

This weeks UPDATE!!!!!!!!
Its been a while again. So sorry. I have been busy... I know, I know. What else is new. Right !
True. Seems to be the story of my life.
Anyhow... I have been so busy at work and working 10 hour days. Last night I wanted to post and get some things done around the house. But that didn't happen. By the time I got home and we had dinner I went upstairs to do a few things and then take a hour 'rest' , well I was out the rest of the night. I was mad at myself or wasting a night. But I really needed the rest. So all and all I guess it was good.
Its been weeks since Jes has been working. No fun. I think he is getting a bit ainty, but glad to report he has been getting some items done at home and I am so grateful for that. While the list is long and we have a ways to go. Every little task and every little thing helps.
We have a busy weekend ahead of us as well. My sister & brother in law will be joining us this Sat for a day of fun. The boys are going to hang out and watch movies and us girls are going to work on making hand made Christmas cards. My friends and family and co-worked shall be very pleased this year with me. The last few years I have gotten soooo teased and harassed because I did not make cards. So they shall all be smiling this year.
Then Sunday we will be celebrating at the Parents house for Jes's Dad's B-day. Ahhh so busy.
We might need to take a dip in the hot tub. We'll see what the weather report is for that one.
I would also really like to get going on wrapping all of those Christmas gifts and get them under my tree. It is looking a little bare underneath it. Some fun colors and wrapping paper will add to the charm I am sure. I can't put this on my Hubby's to do list. He is not tooo good at wrapping. Plus I enjoy doing it. I will leave the heavy work up to him.
Hope you are all having a super week.
I have some VERY VERY exciting news I will post soon!

Me and My New Cuttlebug !!!!
Here I took a total close up so you can see some of the details.
Hope you all had a super weekend!!!
I Did it !!!
I got ALL of my Xmas decor up in and finished up outside as well. Much thanks for my Husband for all of helping hauling many rubbermaid totes of Xmas decor out as well as plugging everything in for me and getting everything to work. Just one little snag. We have WAY to much power going on outside of your home and it keeps blowing up the circut. Guess what my husband is going to be working on tomorrow. Hehehehehe ! It just such a great feeling to have it all done. Yippy ! It really got me into the Christmas spirit because I just wasn't feeling it yet. But I am now.

I hope this day finds you all well and happy and healthy. What are you thankful for on this day ? Ahh for Jes and I we have many things we are thankful for. Its more then OFFICAL !!
Yikes... I guess that means my Thanksgiving decor comes down and my winter/christmas items come up.
We worked so hard in the yard and we still need to clean the garage to put all the empty boxes away. So we can get the truck back in. But the snow will help get me in the mood finally to put up my Xmas tree and home decor this weekend !

The accessories for the Cuttlebug is ALOT less in expensive then my Crucit. Soooooo family and friends... Joanns gift cards are good for me for Xmas. That way I can get some more items for my new friend the Cuttlebug. I am going to be doing some playing around with this today !!!!!!!!!!! I am sooooo happy. I have had a crappy month and this was just what I needed. All possible by the love of my co-workers.
Feeling the buzz ????????????

Thoughy... for the evening, or perhaps the weekend....
Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes destiny.
Wow, just ponder and think of that tonight !
P.S. I went to work today and though a bit tired from my lack of sleep I am feeling better.
Thanks all of your kind hearts and wonderful words.
Have a happy and safe weekend all !

Its almost Friday !
Monday, November 5, 2007
Hello !
You can feel it in the air, can't you ? It is getting chilly this week.
Well my weekend started out pretty bad but ended up okay. I started out Friday night with yet another migraine, and this one was really bad. Not a MOMENTof sleep. In fact at 3am I was hurting so bad I was literally in tears. I just didn't know what to do with myself.
Sat, or most of the weekend Jes and I worked outside. There is sooo much to do when your a home owner. Fountains to take a part and store, flowers to trim, a few weeds to pull, patio stuff to put away.
ALOT of Halloween decor to put away and put out a few Fall items. A pond to take down and fish to carefully move into the house. The timing and temperature in a move is EVERYTHING. Just soo much.
But together my Hubby and I got it all done.
Sat night we took a trip to Plymouth to adore my Aunts new townhouse. This the first time she is a home owner and she is loving it. We are soo happy for her and so please. Her townhouse was in MOVE IN condition and VERY clean. So that was a total plus !
Sunday again was more outside things and then we ended the day at my parents house for a yummy Turkey Dinner. Can't turn down that! Yum YUM...! So this weekend we got alot done. It is a nice feeling to have the yard all done and ready for winter.
How did you spend your weekend ? What did you do ? Did you take some time and enjoy the nice weather and some time outside ?
Now this week we have another busy weekend coming...many things to celebrate ! This month is a busy one for us !
Hope you all are staying warm on this dark and glummy fall day.

Now I can't wait for the cute kidos to show up on our front door step. It is sooo fun to see them all dressed up.

Something to Ponder
by Linda Ellis
I read of a man who stood to speak
at the funeral of a friend.
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
from the beginning to the end.
He noted that first came the date of her birth
and spoke of the following date with tears,
but he said what mattered most of all
was the dash between those years.
For that dash represents all the time
that she spent alive on earth
and now only those who loved her
know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not, how much we own,
the cars, the house, the cash.
What matters is how we live and love
and how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard;
are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left
that can still be rearranged.
If we could just slow down enough
to consider what's true and real
and always try to understand
the way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger
and show appreciation more
and love the people in our lives
like we've never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect
and more often wear a smile,
remembering that this special dash
might only last a little while.
So when your eulogy is being read
with your life's actions to rehash
would you be proud of the things they say
about how you spent your dash?

Creativity in the Home !!
With the help of the construction of this by my husband. I made this valance for our bedroom. I also have one in my kitchen, over the patio door. But this one I changed it up a bit. I bought and stained and polyed custom wood trim and applied it to the valance to give it that extra detail. I really liked how it turned out. So creativity for me. Is not just with paper and ink. It also comes thru in our home and my decorating and such. Plus its nice to have something custom. No one else has one like it. Below is the before pic.
Here is a close up of the valance.
Here is the after pic of the window with the nice new valance. Thanks to my Hubby for his part and putting it up for me as well. Great things we can accomplish together.
Giving Thanks !
Have you ever thought about what this flag means ? What it stands for?
Who saved it and made it for us.
For the United States and United We Stand !
Take a mintue to give thanks!
To all of those troops fighting for this flag each and every day and all the things it means to each and every one of us !
If you go to this web site,
http://www.letssaythanks.com/ you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to some member of the armed services.
How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!! This is a great site. Please send a card. It is FREE andit only takes a second. Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these? Whether you are for or against the war, our guys and gals over there need to know we are behind them...
I got this from a good friend Jo ! I hope we can all send one. So pass the work and pass the link !
God Bless the United States & In God We Trust !!!!

Need some SUNNNNNNN!!!!!!
I need sun, sun, sun, sun, sun, sun pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee!
I am not sure about some of you, but I am really getting tired of all these glummy dark clouds and rain here in Mn. We prayed for rain this summer when our yards where fried by the hot summer sun.
While a nice rain is good from time to time. It keeps my flowers blooming and grass green. When it goes on for days and days at a time. It is well, a little rather depressing. I have to admit. I am sure many of you are thinking the same thing. When will this rain ever stop. Soon I hope. How the forecast doesn't seem to reflect my wishes in that department.
Fall is here and soon will be winter. We have a TO-DO list a mile long and I am hoping we can really make a huge dent in it. Every year(winter) we have such good intentions. But that is all they ever are.. is intentions. This year they will be done. I think it makes a person feel better when they have accomplished items they wish and want to get done. As well as giving you self worth and a sense of accomplishment as well. The work is not always fun. But in my experience the pay off is usually always worth it.
So friends and family... please do be surprised if we are calling in some favors, or pay backs for help we have already offered to you. We could really use and love the support and helping hand. Don't also be shocked if we are home alot trying to get things done. Its nothing personal. Just time to make a difference.
Jes and I seem to be pleasers and always putting our home, our projects, our needs on the back burner to help other or go to other activities and such. As a result nothing happens and things that are our dreams and our ideas and our goals are going unaccomplished. So we are going to change gears a bit and meet some of our needs first.
Along the road of life, you learn many things, experience many things. As well as learning who cares, who uses, who is a friend, who maybe isn't as good as your idea of them was. Who will lend a hand and who won't. Who understands, who doesn't. Who judges, who only see's their side of things. Etc. Try and remember each day. Everyone is in a different spot in life, has different things happening whether they are good or bad, busy or bored. Has different view points and different priorities and different beliefs, different passions and different loves. Hopefully we can respect that and live together and be respectful of all those different things in each and everyone we know and be friend and love.

New Door
We have need a new patio door for about 2 years. It really took some looking around to find what we wanted and what would work for us and our area.
We are hoping it will make a big impact on our heating bills this winter. It will be a good tight window and doors. Plus really giving the kitchen a new look. I love it.
